ABOUT MELTON BOWLS CLUB
The club was formed on 27th February 1905 and is one of the oldest clubs in the area. We celebrated our centenary in 2005 with various events including a match against the Royal Household Bowling Club at Home Park in Windsor.
The club has always played “Federation Bowls” and in 1934 was one of the founding members of the Suffolk County (EBA) Bowling Association.
The club’s first green was behind the Melton Parish Room, moving to our current location in 1933, on land given to the club by H W Burness. Since then the club has developed considerably and has over 60 members.

Informal but competitive roll up is held every Monday and Friday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00. Teams are made up on the day depending on turnout and it is a great opportunity for some practise and to catch up with club members.
During the off season when the green is closed (mid September to mid April) we hold a carpet bowls session every Tuesday evening at 7:00 and a darts session every Thursday evening at 7:00
All through the year every first Saturday of the month the 100 Club holds a social evening at 7:00 during which the winners of the 100 Club prizes are drawn.
